CAREERS

LAET’s careers programme aims to support, challenge and empower students to make confident and informed decisions around their next steps. As part of the programme, we aim to work in partnership with our feeder and local primary school students through our Chrysalis East initiative supporting their students and providing access to opportunities

Key aims of the LAET careers offer:

  • Provide outstanding information, advice and guidance around careers
  • Ensure students have opportunities to explore various options, make informed choices and be able to prepare high-quality applications
  • Build student confidence and resilience to succeed in the workplace
  • Support students in creating lifelong professional networks and contacts
  • Present students with an opportunity to undertake a workplace experience via work visit, work shadowing, and or work experience.

The careers programme at LAE Tottenham is a programme of focused career learning during Year 12. It is a combination of work-place visits, careers talks, work shadowing, independent research and specific projects which have been designed to help our students make informed choices about their post-18 options. This also supports them in having access to excellent career guidance as well as allowing them to learn and experience first-hand the skills that are valued in the workplace.
