We are proud to announce that Highgate has been shortlisted for three prestigious Independent Schools of the Year 2019 awards. These recognise Highgate’s extensive careers programme, contribution to social mobility, and the international sporting success of one Year 13 pupil.
It was all change at both Highgate and London Academy of Excellence in Tottenham (LAET) on Tuesday, as Adam Pettitt and Jan Balon swapped jobs for a day.
On Friday 14th December 2018, LAE Tottenham hosted a Christmas lunch as part of the community project and invited elderly residents in the local community from Protheroe and Lorenco House - part of the One Housing group.
On Friday 28th September 2018, elected student council representatives pitched to their peers the reasons why they should become house captains and vice captains.
The prestigious John Locke Institute Essay Competition invites students worldwide to explore a wide range of challenging and interesting questions beyond the confines of the school curriculum with entries invited for History, Politics, Philosophy or Economics.
Essays are judged on the level of knowledge and understanding of the relevant material, the quality of argumentation, the structure, writing style and persuasive force.
Ten students at LAE Tottenham were given the opportunity to attend the Cliveden Literary Festival on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th September 2018. We would like to thank the organisers for their generosity in making this happen.
Students at LAE Tottenham gained noted accreditation within the cybersecurity profession, gaining automatic membership to the Institute of Information Security Professionals (IISP), an organisation which aims to advance the professionalism of the information security industry.

David Lammy, Member of Parliament for Tottenham, visited the London Academy of Excellence Tottenham on Friday 11th May to meet pupils and learn more about the school’s academic offering.
Thirteen students at LAE Tottenham who are interested in applying for university courses and careers in Law were given the opportunity on Wednesday 9th May to visit Clifford Chance, one of the city's most influential law firms.
On Friday 4th May, Ms Ryan and Mr Clark accompanied a group of 20 Economics and Politics students from LAE Tottenham to take part in the Cabinet Office Challenge in the grand surroundings of Admiralty House, Whitehall.
LAE Tottenham students have been collaborating with professional photographers from 'The Photography Movement' to develop their creativity and express their emotions through photography. The project started in January 2018 and has enabled students to openly discuss the topic of mental health.
