LAET Students Network at Exclusive Music Industry Event

Three of our very own LAET students, Ze’ev, Hannah, and Roland, recently had the incredible opportunity to represent the school at an exclusive, invite-only industry breakfast networking event in London. Co-hosted by The Raine Group (a leading global advisory and investment firm specialising in media and entertainment) and Music Business Worldwide (the premier global news and analysis platform for the music industry), the event brought together the most influential minds shaping the future of music.
The morning featured groundbreaking discussions on the rapidly evolving music landscape. Attendees listened to key insights from John Chapman of Chord Music Partners, who detailed how a massive wave of institutional insurance capital is currently flooding the music rights and catalog market. The room also heard from Andrew Sanchez, CEO of generative AI music platform Udio, who discussed the future of AI music, copyright litigation, and building "walled gardens" to protect artists' intellectual property.
Beyond the high-level panel discussions, the absolute highlight of the morning was the networking session. Ze’ev, Hannah, and Roland stepped out of the classroom and directly into the room where the music business happens. Our students got to meet, talk with, and network face-to-face with major leading figures working behind the scenes of the global music industry, gaining invaluable insight into future creative and corporate careers.
We would like to extend a huge thank you to both The Raine Group and Music Business Worldwide for hosting our students and providing them with such an inspiring, welcoming, and educational experience. Congratulations to Ze’ev, Hannah, and Roland for representing LAET so brilliantly on the big stage!
