LAET Student Wins Supercar Experience with Sir Mo Farah!

Imagine walking down the street and bumping into an Olympic legend who challenges you to make a life-changing, split-second decision. That is exactly what happened to our very own student, Hannah, during a surprise encounter in London!

Hannah crossed paths with four-time Olympic gold medallist Sir Mo Farah as part of Virgin Red’s new "Go-Mo" initiative. The campaign was launched to shake people out of their daily routines and encourage the public to trust their gut instincts. The catch? Passers-by had to say "yes" to a mystery experience completely on the spot, with zero time to overthink it.

Showing true LAET spirit, Hannah didn't hesitate. She took the leap, said "yes," and was rewarded with an incredible, adrenaline-fueled supercar racing experience the very next day! Hannah described the high-speed track day as an absolutely unforgettable experience and a perfect reminder of what can happen when you step outside of your comfort zone.

The excitement didn’t stop there. Hannah was accompanied by a handful of other talented LAET and Highgate musicians, making it a truly memorable day for the group. Following the big reveal, the students got the chance to meet the Olympic champion. Sir Mo took a moment to have a brief chat with them, sharing some words of encouragement and leaving everyone incredibly inspired by how down-to-earth he is.
