Futures Drop Down Day 2026

A day designed to open Year 12’s eyes to the full range of university and degree apprenticeship pathways available to them after LAET.

Last week, our Futures Team delivered an exceptional Drop Down Day designed to get our Year 12 students thinking seriously and ambitiously about their next steps, whether that means heading to university or pursuing a degree apprenticeship. The atmosphere across the school was full of curiosity and momentum, and the scale of opportunities available made it one of the most impactful Futures events we’ve hosted.

We were especially grateful to Tottenham Hotspur for once again welcoming us into Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, where we hosted our university fair. The space allowed us to bring together an incredible group of 32 universities from across the UK, including representation from Cambridge, Exeter, Birmingham, Hull, Lancaster, Leeds, UCL, Durham, Sussex and Bath, among many others.

Throughout the day, 14 universities delivered 17 talks and workshops. Students explored academic taster sessions in Natural Sciences, Maths, Film, English and History, alongside sessions on the Oxbridge admissions process, personal statements, moving away and accommodation, placement years and study abroad, Russell Group pathways, competitive applications, medicine applications and the transition to university life.

Every student attended two university talks as well as a dedicated Degree Apprenticeship session, which included a panel discussion with some of our inspiring alumni who are now thriving in leading organisations.

We were delighted to welcome back Adam Saci from Montagu Evans, Berenice Dienda and Ruth Mahamoodally from Goldman Sachs, Zaid Moushapha and Amran Ahmed from Rokos, Anisah Ahmed from Deloitte, Syam Hussein from Airbus, Fadhail Sharif from Santander and Zion Piedade from Natixis. Their honesty, insight and generosity helped demystify the apprenticeship route and showed our students what ambition, resilience and hard work can lead to.

A heartfelt thank you to all our guests who delivered talks, sat on panels or hosted stalls to represent their organisations. Your time, expertise and encouragement made a meaningful difference to our students’ futures, and we are deeply grateful for your support.
