Volunteering


LAE Tottenham is grateful to individuals who give their time voluntarily to support our students. 

The school will facilitate any required safeguarding checks.

Name Profile Role at LAE Tottenham
Elisabeth Marksteiner Elisabeth Marksteiner has an MA from University of Cambridge, a PGCE from University of Surrey, and an MBA from the Open University. After teaching English in England and Switzerland, she specialised in international university advising. She is a frequent presenter at conferences in North America, Europe, and the Middle East and is currently writing a book on admissions to Oxford and Cambridge. Elisabeth delivers talks on universities, with an  international focus as well as working with individual applicants to Oxbridge and leading international universities. 
Prisca Garcia A native Spanish speaking parent, Prisca supported our A Level Spanish cohort. Prisca worked with our students weekly, offering conversational Spanish and feedback on language.
Kate Brown Kate is a Trainee Counsellor with a background in fine art. She is able to support students at LAET that perhaps have not referred themselves to counselling before or that find the prospect of talking therapies daunting or uncomfortable.

 

Kate worked at LAET every Monday using the integrative model (a combination of psychological theories) and adapts support dependent on individual needs.

Careers  A flexible opportunity to work one to one with students offering specialised careers advice to complement the work of the school's dedicated careers team. A professional career from any field potentially of interest to students at LAET.
Oxbridge mentoring A flexible opportunity to provide one to one support for students making applications to Oxford or Cambridge university. An exceptional academic background. Ideally an Oxford or Cambridge graduate or experience in admissions preparation.
